Nearly three hours later, the two figures had passed the outer perimeter, crossing less then 600 meters of ground in that time. Using the dense foliage, they moved further into the enemy's territory, their movements even slower, more deliberate then before. No words were used, the only communication between them short jerks of their heads, slight gazes and hand signals. They were near the outer perimeter of the target zone they still had much further to travel before being able to mark the target. The two shapes stopped behind a large tree, thick vines running down over the ground giving them a clear vantagepoint. More sounds drifted through the dense foliage raucous sounds of laughter, voices shouting obscenities, clinking of utensils and other, less identifiable sounds. One misstep, one crack of wood splintering or scrunching of leaves would bring down death, swiftly and surely. Watching them move was like watching a strangely choreographed dance, as each foot slowly lifted off the ground, before setting down again after making sure there were no dried leaves of branches on the spot that would alert anyone in the vicinity. Their bodies covered with what appeared to be vines, leaves and plants, blending them into the background. One had to look closely to even see them, the exposed parts of their skin covered in greens, browns and blacks. The cries of animals wafted through the treetops of the dense forest, reaching out to the two figures walking slowly over long since overgrown paths, carved out by the indigenous people eons ago. Every step was sheer agony, every breath scalding the lungs as hot, moist air was sucked in. The noonday sun beat down on jungle canopy, penetrating it, stirring up the moisture contained in the trees and ground until the heat became cloying, oppressive. Disclaimer: Joss Whedon, Fox, Mutant Enemy, the WB and UPN own the characters. Furthermore, I would like to thank my Beta-readers Ozmandayus, Banquo and Scb047 for everything they've done. So I rewrote it to what I would have wanted to see. Personally, I don't like the ending, it's too convenient. Rating: R Authors Notes: This story takes place approximately 8 years after the events in the this season's last episode. Author: Ghostrider Summary: What happens when your heart is ripped apart by those you love? A slayerette's return after years of absence causes old wounds to be ripped open. That'll be super awesome.Home and Heart Home and Heart A Buffy the Vampire Slayer story. The main badassery will commence in the next episode. They sure don't want to waste too much time. It is kinda brutal though, only 8 out of 60 progressing. Nikumi's position isn't probably that guaranteed, but the rest have theirs guaranteed. Group A has Soma, Hayama, Ryo and Nikumi progressing. (Nao because she gets an awful lot of focus in the ED so she can't be useless). We have Miyako, Megumi, Alice, Nao, Erina's assistant who's name I can't seem to remember, Takumi, all have chances to progress but only 4G will go ahead. The ones going through from group A are obvious. Hayama was dominating the place mainly because Soma was sleeping lol. Megumi wasn't showing any flare like the others but Isshiki knows that she is capable enough. ![]() Ryo turned into a monster after finishing the prep work. It's like she's performing an experiment or something instead of cooking.Įizan managed to bring in the Curry Queen since he most likely works as her advisor based on what he said to her while she was complaining. Biggies of the food industry are here to serve as judges and they are admiring the kids at work. Lol when Takumi was getting ignored by Soma. And Miyako wants to prove her worth so she wants to take the top spot at Totsuki. But the second in command chef (who is now the chief) doesn't want a girl in the kitchen (even though females are generally the ones in the kitchen at homes). She is the heir to her restaurant much like Soma is heir to the Yukihira Diner. It wasn't interesting overall compared to the second half (although it did serve the purpose of a build-up part well), except for that part about Miyako. The first half was all about showing the kids busy with their preparations.
